0800/1100 hrs. Sunny 16 degree strong north westerly.

Of note.

Mistle Thrush.6 strong family party.

Sand Martin.7 over and 4 young being fed perched on a Hawthorn.

Swallow.4 over Buckhurst.

House Martin.3 around farm buildings.

Willow Warbler..several around in small parties.

Whitethroat..couple of family parties around Buckhurst and young in copse at top of Croston Close road.

Green Woodpecker..single flying up valley

Meadow Pipits.many on moorland.

Skylark.several calling and feeding.

Stonechat.pair near substation, no sign of young.

Chaffinch.male in full song near Two Owls cottage

Greenfinch.two over as above.

Linnet..several feeding around Gorse on moorland.

Reed Bunting.two males and three females.

Swift.at least 6 hawking over moors.

Redshank.single calling and flying northwest over valley.

Wheatear..single juvenile on wall towards Harden Moor.

Lapwing.at least 9, some juveniles in by fields near Sales farm.

Starling two flocks of around 30 feeding in sheep fields.

Kestrel..two hunting over Harden moor.

Buzzard..one high over Cheesden Bar.
