A neighbour alerted me to a Bat found on the ground near Alderbottom I went with a box and collected a species I was not familiar with, took advice from Bat group friend, who comfirmed it was a Common Brown Long-eared Bat, kept it warm for a couple of hours when it became active I released it and it flew under the viaduct.
