Blackcap in song - Reedsholme

Greenfinch at the park

Pr Dipper feeding 2 fledged juvs on R. Limy

Pr of agitated Grey Wagtails on R. Limy

Mistle Thrush singing - Leabrook

1 Grey Wagtail at Tup Bridge

c4 Swifts over Rawtenstall

3 Willow Warblers - singing at Twin Lodges

1 Whitethroat displaying near Twin Lodges.

Trio of Goldfinch at Twin Lodges - does anybody else see trios during spring?

No sign of any House Martins at 2 colonies I checked nor at any of their feeding sites.

Hi Bob, Goldfinch numbers on my patch seem average, but still seeing small groups feeding and displaying, regarding House Martin I saw none on last weeks survey along the Irwell, never had a breeding record in Strongstry, but Edenfield is usually good but very few this year.

Hi Bob 

House martins have returned to Waterfoot. At least 6prs present

Never thought about goldfinches in trios before, but I seem to remember seeing a few groups of 3 earlier this year
