East View lodge area.

Over a couple of afternoons in drizzle/sunshine and good temperatures the following were recorded.

Greenfinch. At least 12 birds where couple of years ago there were none.

Chaffinch. Around 8/10 birds.

Bullfinch. 4 pairs.

Goldfinch. three loose charms of around 10 birds.

Redpoll. There were six birds both visits including 2 very bright males.

Long-tailed Tit. small loose flock of 9 and 3 pair investigating Bramble nest sites.

Goldcrest. Pair chasing through the Holly.

Green Woodpecker. Calling 

Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming.

Song Thrush. 2/3 on ground feeding

Mistle Thrush. Single on ground.

Blue,Great, Coal Tit in good numbers.

Blackbird. Several.

Jay. 2 very noisy.

Buzzard. Single soaring over.
