RSPB Leighton Moss 

A Osprey feeding regularly along the open waters of the moss 

Best sighting was from the sky tower where it was plunging into the water with lots of unsuccessful attempts 

but finally succeeded and flying off with a fish in its talons 

Marsh Harrier some good close views of both male and female gliding over the reed beds

Bittern several calling birds but also saw 4 birds in flight 

Buzzard two over calling 

Kestrel

Sedge Warbler good number of calling birds 

Cettis Warbler 

Willow Warbler 

Bearded Tit calling not seen 

Chiffchaff 

Swift 

Swallow 

House Martin 

8 Pochard 

Gadwall

Teal

Tufted Duck

Shoveler

Shelduck

Pair of nesting Great Crested Grebe 

One Little Grebe 

Eric Morecambe pools

Sparrowhawk 

Kestrel

20+ Avocets some on nests 

Hundreds of nesting Black-headed Gulls

Black-tailed Godwit

Shoveler 

shelduck

Swift 

Swallow
