One singing this afternoon, initially in the little wood south of K Steel, then across the railway line at the bottom of Duckworth Lane. Still there and very vocal when I left c2.30

Great find by Andy.  Not only a first of the year for me but a Rossendale first!   Not just a lovely sight but a beautiful sound too.

Hi Mark, you are correct, I had a female Pied Flycatcher last year and several years ago, they were both only around for a day, assume yours was the same, and historically they bred in Rossendale.
