Late morning onwards -

Wildfowl numbers similar to yesterday but 1 G.C. Grebe  present.

Party of 6 Common Sandpipers on the back pond were the only waders present.

10+ Sand Martins feeding up along the E. bank.

2 Swifts with the martins

2 Swallows with martins. 

Odd Pied Wagtails seen.

Big flock of House Sparrows in bushes at the outflow, difficult to estimate but 30+ along with 17+ Starlings.

Pair of Grey Wagtails at Reedsholme have at least 3 very recently fledged young also a Dipper in the same area.

Peregrine on Ilex Mill chimney in Rawtenstall last evening.

Hi Bob
Earlier, 9:30ish, I had 2 red head goosander, plenty, 10+, swift and a good number of meadow pipits with a few skylark and a pair of stonchat on the moor back up to Compstons Cross
