A juvenile Mute Sawn has been reported on the River Irwell at Townsend Fold, it was located this morning by PaulG and appeared tame but was reluctant to fly probably as it was in an enclosed area,Kirklees Valley wildlife rescue attended and recovered the bird and took it to the Center for a health check, over 30 Swans have been euthanised within a ten mile radius due to bird flu.
