  • sparrowhawk - male at Warth, the probably same bird seen later over Hurdles Quarry
  • golden plover - 8 at Cowpe Lowe
  • snipe - 6 at Cowpe Lowe
  • common gull - 63 near Glen football pitches
  • woodpigeon - flock of 50+ in Staghills Woods
  • green woodpecker - yaffling bird at Warth
  • great spotted woodpecker - drumming bird at Staghills Woods
  • mistle thrush - 1 pulling moss off trees at Trickett's Memorial Ground
  • redwing - single bird at Warth
  • dipper - 1 at Hareholme & 1 at Hugh Mill
  • nuthatch - 6 between Trickett's Memorial Ground & Sandybank in Staghills Woods & 3 at Warth
  • long-tailed tit - 8 at Gaghills, min 4 in Staghills Woods & a pair at Warth
  • jay - 1 at Warth
  • magpie - flock of c20 near Glen football pitches
  • jackdaw - 200+ in Waterfoot in the morning increasing to 300+ mid-afternoon
  • goldfinch flock of 19 at Trickett's Memorial
  • bullfinch - 2 calling birds at Trickett's Memorial 7 a male in Staghills Woods
