A report of thousands of fieldfares in the area, got there after work to find at least 1000 birds in tree tops. Most flew W. over the next half an hour in the direction of Stonefold/ Mitchells House res. c40 Redwing flew in as if to roost in conifers and 100 Starling circling over the wood. Sparrowhawk seen twice.
c600 B.H.Gulls moved W. at dusk from Clowbridge res. in various sized groups, probably moving to Guide/ Fishmoor res. at Blackburn.
