E.B.S.W. 14/11/06 - 14:55 - 15:45

Species counted - c150 Jackdaw, c90 Pied Wagtail counted flying off to the N.W. between 15:25 and 15:45 hrs. There were still at least another half dozen birds feeding on the beds as we left including a white coloured bird (partial albino as opposed to white wagtail)which even from the gates was very striking.  2 Meadow Pipit, 1 Grey Wagtail, c40 B.H.Gull, 4 Magpie, 1 Jay and c30 C.Crow.

Birds seen moving over were 6+6 Starling >SW, 9+3 Wood Pigeon >SW, 1 Collared Dove, 6 small finches circling the area and 2 Blackbirds came into roost.

Not for the first time we were allowed access. The staff at the works are very easy going and by making contact at the reception you will gain entry providing you sign the visitors book before entry and on leaving. I would also add that they lock the gates at 15:30 hrs, so don't leave it too late in the afternoon should you wish to visit.

Bob.
