minimum counts at our feeders at Gaghills this morning: 35 greenfinch, 10 chaffinch, 6 goldfinch, 1m 1f bullfinch, 4 blue tit, 2 great tit, 1 coal tit, 5 feral pigeon, 4 collared dove, 2 dunnock, 1 wren, 6 house sparrow, 4 starling, 2 blackbird, 1 robin, 1 magpie, 2 jackdaw, 1m great spotted woodpecker.


Warth area midday: 3 herons at the heronry, 1 dipper, 1 grey wagtail, 70 jackdaws on the old TNT building and 1m stonechat above Kenroy's Pond.  Again lots of common birds feeding in the hedges which included the following 3 long tailed tit, 12 blue tit, 10 great tit, 10 greenfinch, 4 goldfinch, 1 flock of 100 chaffinch in the trees above Kenroy's Pond, 65 redwing, 5 fieldfares and at least 20 blackbird.


Hurdles Quarry: 1 little owl


Cowpe: 1 jack snipe, 2 common snipe and a peregrine all on the hillside above Cowpe Res.  100 starling, over 200 fieldfares and 2 moorhen Cowpe Lodge area.  10 magpies Lench.
