Staghills Woods


4 jay, 1m 1f great spotted woodpecker, 2 song thrush singing, 1 mistle thrush singing, 1 dipper on the Irwell, 6 redpoll.


Lower Cloughfold


2 redwimg, 2 song thrush, 3 long tailed tit, 2m 3f bullfinch.


Holmes Terrace Lodge


2 grey heron, c55 mallard, 2 moorhen, 16 black headed gull.


Townsendfold Bridge/ Ewood Bridge


29 great black back gulls passed over moving towards AMR preceded by 11 lesser black backs moving in the same direction, 6 herring gulls moved over towards Haslingden,c 75 redwing, 2 song thrush, 1 dipper, 6 long tailed tit.


EBSW


5 lesser black back gull flew towards AMR, 120 black headed gull and 5 common gull at the sewage works, 40 wood pigeon flew west, c40 jackdaw, 1 song thrush, c60 starling, c20 pied wagtail, 1 grey wagtail, 2 meadow pipit.


Irwell Vale


25 mallard and 1 pr goosander on the Irwell, c50 fieldfare with a couple of redwings


Ravenshore/ Snig Hole


1m kestrel, 3 herring gull flying towards Haslingden, 1 grey wagtail, 8 goldfinch, 2 redpoll.


Holden Vale Flash


13 herring gull flying north, 1 flock of c40 - 50 finches, at least 21 were siskin.


Holden Wood Res


1 great crested grebe, 6 (3ad & 3 juv) cormorant, 1 canada goose, 2pr mallard, 1m & 2f wigeon, 2 great black back gull flying towards AMR, 15 black headed gull,2 moorhen, 1f stonechat, 19 redpoll flying towards Holden Vale these were possibly some of the birds I had seen earlier at Holden Vale Flash)


Ogden


1 cormorant flying over (possibly a different bird to the ones at Holden Wood), 1 kestrel, c30 fieldfare and 8 redwing flying towards Calf Hey to roost.


Calf Hey


1m pochard, 1f goldeneye, 1 great spotted woodpecker, 7 fieldfare, 18 goldfinch, 4 siskin.
