Four pair of Sand Martins have returned to the flood damaged banking, where they had started nesting a couple of weeks ago, and were digging out new nests this evening. Unfortunately no sign of Spotted Flycatcher any where along the river.

High water Strongstry.

Last nights flood which affected the houses at the bottom end of the village has also destroyed the small Sand Martin colony, a second brood Grey Wagtail site, several Wren sites and one Spotted Flycatcher nest site. There was one Spotted flycatcher in full song this morning.
