Cowpe Res: 18 herring gull flying south, 2 stock dove, 5 skylark (1 of which was singing) on the hillside above, 1pr stonechat, 3 meadow pipit.
Cowpe Moss: 7 golden plover, 1 snipe,
Cheesden Bridge: 1 snipe, 1f kestrel.
AMR: 1 pr great crested grebe, 2pr mallard, 2 goldeneye (1 adult male & 1 juv male), 80 goosander, c1000 black headed gull, c100 common gull, 1 lesser black back gull, 25 great black backed gull, 4 herring gull, c150 lapwing, 1 or 2 kestrel, 3 pied wagtail, 3 linnet. David Winnard also saw a grey partridge.
At least 6 nests are now occupied at the heronry at Warth.
