Ste, you are talking about Cowm Res,Whitworth? Very interested about your sighting of Common Buzzard, yesterday.Were I sit at home I have a reasonable veiw over the southern end of the reservoir and must have been out of my seat as the Buzzard passed over! I last saw a Buzzard in the area in 2003,but, narrowly,missed out on one last year.You are quite right about Reed Bunting they did breed last year to the west of the res behind a ruined farmhouse in a newish plantation area.Well done on your sighting!
