Meadow Pipits starting to show well at first then quietened off. Actually missing a higher percentage than I could count because of clear blue skies. I could also hear lots of Redpoll pairs or parties going over, just could not get on them other than a token count.
Meadow Pipit: 139 - (104 in first hour 0815-0915hrs) then 35 up until 1100hrs. Redpoll: 10 (5 parties of 2) loads going overhead, just could not get on them. Goldfinch: 5 Linnet: 3 (missed several pairs of these also) Greenfinch: 1 Pied Wagtail: 1 SE (probably local)
also: Heron 1 LBBG & Herring Gulls, both NW & SE probably 30-40 Woodpigeon: 20 probably local
Large Bumblebees Pheasants calling from within Duckworth Clough Planting. Lots of local Chaffinch calling, Bullfinch paired returned Yonne Cottage
