A male white wagtail was at EBSW this afternoon. Only other birds seen on the beds were c50 jackdaws, c30 carrion crows, 2 wood pigeons & 12 black headed gulls. 11 lesser black back gulls flew over. A fourth nest is under construction at the new rookery. Across the river from the sewage works were 3 willow warblers, 1 chiffchaff and 2m blackcap.
2 house martins were back at Bacup Road Rawtenstall.
Willow warblers were also at Staghills Woods, Groundwork (2) and Ewood Bridge. 2 chiffchaffs were at Groundwork & a pair of blackcaps were at Ewood Bridge.
