Hi Bob

I was thinking the same myself about blackcaps this morning. I walked through Staghills Woods and only heard 1.  I would normally expect 3 - 5 by the end of April.  The only other things of note in the woods were 1 willow warbler, a pair of treecreepers & a pair of blue tits using 1 of the nest boxes that Peter recently put up.

cheers Kevin

Just got back from the E.B.S.W. curcuit and only heard 2 Blackcap though both Chiffy and Willow Wablers were in good voice, little else new though - 12 P.Wagtails on beds + 11 B.H.Gull and 1 Sparrowhawk over, no Whitethroats either. Just 2 swallows over the old station and 3 more over Horncliffe. Where are the Shelduck?

Bob.
