18;00hrs approx.
No sign of Bar Tails at Cheesden Bar so visited A.M.R. on the off chance. Two were on the small headland / spit eventually disturbed by an Oystercatcher. They (Bar Tails) flew into the fields adjacent to the lane which leads to Rossendale School as per Kevins original sighting. A quick dart round and excellent veiws down to 20yrds or so at 18:30hrs. No sign of any rings, flags, studs or any other ornamentation on the birds.
Also at A.M.R. 17 Canada Goose, 3 G.C.Grebe, 7 Wheatear and a Sparrowhawk over E.

E.B.S.W. 19:10hrs
c20 Pied Wagtail, c3 Swallow and 1 House Martin - flying visit only.

Bob. with thanks to A.J. for the wheels.
