5 Bar-tailed Godwits still in same field (Rossendale School) at 11am this morning.  Very close to road, didn't need 'bins'.
3 Lapwing, 1 Pied Wag, 1 Meadow pipit. also.

I went for a third time to try and see the Godwits but dipped again.
There was however around 8 adult Lapwings, one of which was brooding 4 day old or so chicks.
Also 2 curlew agressively chasing the crows away.
Regards,
David Nuttall

Hard luck David, I went up there with my 'scope expecting them to be miles away.  They seem very relaxed, just stop feeding and look back at you.
Sorry, that is not helping is it.  You could go up there and find a Dotterel next time!!
Good luck, Ina.

I finally caught up with the Godwits this morning (07:15) and it was certainly worth the wait. There were two stunning males and a female which were in the roadside corner of the field by the road to Rossendale School.
Regards,
David.
