little owl above porritt lodge
young tawneys in woods
several blackcaps with young
pr whitethroat
sedge warb has young
grass warb still there but very elusive
g s woodpecker young in woods
several willow warb and c/chaff
both thrushes doing very well
dunnock with young in garden
several young bullfinch showing well
still struggling to find nuthatch and treecreeper
think i may have a pair of tree pipits[watch this space]
my first spring here,are there always this many robins,perhaps 12/16 pr ???
on the river~~~young dippers have dispersed
one male kingfisher flew towards irwell vale
young greywagtails
mallard chick numbers decreasing by the day[predation]
one fe goosander regular no sign of young
grey heron

thanks to all for an interesting evening at clough bottom last monday.

Some good things coming from that area.

If you are interested, Sunday we have the Bird Race starting at 6:00 from Waterfoot car park.
Good fun and you will get to areas others don't reach[sic]
