Edenwood lodge. Broad-bodied Chasers

11:00 to 12:15. Sunny.
2 Broad-bodied Chasers, 1 Mature male and 1 ?immature (Very Yellow)
100 plus Azures.  Some tandem over water, but hard to see as they get down among the reed mace. One pair in a heart-shaped embrace. (Think I'll take up writing bodice rippers...maybe not).
5 Large Red Damsels, 2 male 1 female and 2 moving too fast to tell.

Glad things are happening at Stubbins. I had some Chasers myself today near home. They're a really cracking dragonfly, aren't they - particularly the male.

On Sunday I had a very brief (1 sec) view of a hawker at Holcombe. Not enough of a view for ID but suggestive of Emperor. Brown Hawkers have been seen to the S of Bolton at weekend - very early indeed.
