Swallows are now going through on a daily basis, this morning I was getting small family parties going South (the normal way) at some 30min intervals. I do believe the Caton/Lune roost yesterday was up to c2000 birds, which will mean that these birds will be away within the 24-48hour period.
Odd trickles of Meadow Pipits in singles or pairs all heading South at say 10-15minute periods at present.
Will not be ready for serious counting for another 2 weeks, unless you wanted to catch the bulk of the Swallows going through.
