Warth 3 dippers on the Irwell, at least 1 singing, c10 long tailed tits, 4 goldcrest, 1 grey wagtail, 1 pr stonechat, 2 mistle thrush & 1 chiffchaff.
Hurdles Quarry to Whittaker Pasture A buzzard flew over, mobbed by every carrion crow that it passed. I lost sight of it as it was still being mobbed by crows over Seat Naze. 1 little owl, 1 skylark, 1 green woodpecker, 24 meadow pipit, 1 wheatear, 8 swallow & 15 sand martins flying down the Irwell valley.
Hi Kevin Didn't get a chance to put it on yesterday but we went up Plunge and I saw a Buzzard soaring over in the direction of Rawtenstall, being bothered by a Sparrowhawk. It was a long way off and went further. Maybe it's the same one hanging around!! Cheers Ian
