G.S. Woodpecker, c4 singles,
Green Woodpecker, very vocal with at least 2 birds,
Meadow Pipit, c80 with 50 in one flock near Holden Wood,
Skylark, 2 flying west calling,
Mistle Thrush, c8, in 1's & 2's
Redwing, 2 singles,
Grey Wagtail,  2 males & single female
L.T.Tit, several flocks, largest 10,
Coal Tit, c20,
Goldcrest, c20 in 1'2 & 2's,
Stonechat, parties of 3, 2, & 3 singles,
Jackdaw, party of 38 flew west,
Brambling, 1 flew down Calf Hey calling,
Siskin, 2x2 and c4 singles.
Redpoll, flock of 3 (with 2 Siskin) & 1 single,
Bullfinch, calling from Heap Clough,
Reed Bunting, 2 singles.

Hi Dave -
Where were your Canadas? I didn't get any on the duck count.

Glad you confirmed Green Woodpecker - I heard 2 brief snatches of calls from Fairy Glen area but I was beginning to doubt my ears.

Hi Jim,
The Canada Geese were on Ogden at the western end. The Green pecker(s) were indeed around Fairy Glen / Western end of Calf Hey so would seem nothing wrong with your ears!
