Monday October 15th 2007 - Haslingden Grane.
0715hrs-0915hrs
Wind: SSW 3mph
Movement: West unless stated otherwise.
First thing completely fogged out with only 75 yard viewing distance, then cleared to 60% by one hour later.  During fog out heard 4 parties of Redwing go over and 3 parties of Fieldfare go over, this was first thing and other than a pair of Fieldfare, no Thrushes went through later (at least to my knowledge).  Starlings were again going for it, and again great numbers of Chaffinch.  One party of 15 Brambling.  Excellent but had to leave early.
Chaffinch: 137 (2S)
Brambling: 15 (one party)
Meadow Pipit: 32 (23S)
Pied Wagtail: 4
Redwing: 4 parties by audible calls only.
Fieldfare: 2 and 3 parties by audible calls only.
Starling: 105 (best party 30,18,15)
Siskin: 4
Redpoll: 4
Goldfinch: 2
Greenfinch: 2
Green Woodpecker: 1 local and yaffling
Woodpigeon: 1
Jackdaw: 18 (one party 14)
LBBG: 2E (probably local)
BHG: 14
Cheers,
Bryan.
