Saturday November 3rd 2007 - Haslingden Grane (Stoney Rake) 0700-1100hrs Wind: NW 8-10 mph Movement: West unless specified different
It started off bad with a full mist over and then eventually lifted after about one hour or so, and during this time there was also light drizzle at times. Thrushes and Starlings have started to pick up again with some good counts. A pair of Whoopers came E-W at 0930hrs and another pair or the same pair came from NW to SE (this pair double altitude of the first two, but I suppose would be with the wind backing them going SE) at 1035hrs, so whether this was the same pair or not we probably will never know.

Good to see Ina again whos becoming a right little vismigger on the quiet... by the way Ina the Whoopers or another pair came back NW to SE at about the time you would have got to the car park, other than that just one party of Reds and one of Stars after you had gone.
Didn't see Whoopers Bryan, but did see a couple of disapointed looking birders at the car park.....Think they may have been looking for Crossbills!!! Take care. Ina
