First Bee sighting for me in a neighbours garden. Also a 7 spot? Ladybird tucking into insects on a Lavender plant in the garden. Aahhh the smell of spring!

What colour was the bee's bottom, Ste? Not seen a bee yet, but have had at least 2 queen wasps around looking for a nest hole.

Yes, Buff-tailed is often early - apart from the buffish tail the yellow of its stripes tends to be dullish. White-tailed has distinctly whiter tail and brighter, lemony yellow stripes.

I bet they've gone too sleep again now the weather's dropped again!
