Clowbridge Res, 07:15 - 07:25
There were 2 adult Whooper Swans on Clowbridge Res this morning.
Also 1 G.C.Grebe and 3 Goldeneye.

The pair of Whoopers were still present up until 1415hrs when they where spooked by a sailing boat and they headed off West.

Also present:
4 GC Grebe
1 pair of Stonechat (near old baptism bath)
Lots of BHG
Lapwing one party flying above approx 15-20

I also watched the Whoopers head West but did you see them return and land back on the res ?

Hi Steven, Great to hear from you. I was with Charlie Payne having a walk around Clowbridge.  Yes we did see them leave the first time (approx 1410hrs)and they headed in a large circle to the South of the Reservoir before coming back down again on the Res some 5 minutes later. And yet again (approx 1415hrs) only 5minutes after relanding they were spooked yet again with the single sailing boat which was on the res, and again they circled but this time more to the top end (Burnley side)before heading West in a Baxenden direction (probably heading over George's Farm!!). They did not return again on the reservoir during the next 30 minutes (1445hrs) or so to my knowledge.

Hi again Bryan
I was with my father having walked over Hameldon to Clowbridge from Stonefold, our last view of the Whoopers was of them heading just west of Burnley we obviously failed to see them make that final bank over.

Also seen 
Goodshaw fold SD803255 circ 200 Lapwing grounded.
Great Clough SD805278 4 skylark.
