Holden Wood
2m Reed Bunting singing plus 1 additional male, 2 Great Crested Grebe - in breeding plumage, calling and displaying a little, Mallard 6, Moorhen 3, Canada Goose 2, Black-headed Gull c35, Lapwing c30 on S field plus c 6 displaying over fields between res and road, 2-3 Meadow Pipit.

Hi Jim

I went up to Grane this afternoon and saw the following

Holden Wood  3 great crested grebes, 9 Canada geese, 4 cormorant, 38 lapwing, 1 pr curlew, 80 black headed gull, 5 common gull, 1 grey wagtail & 1 pr stonechat.

Ogden   1 pr Canada geese, 5 cormorant, 2 x 2nd winter great black back gulls following 3 of the cormorants round the res, 1 curlew, 50 wood pigeon, 1 pied wagtail, 1 pr grey wagtail & 1 meadow pipit.

Calf Hey  7 mallard, 15 (8m, 7f) goosander, 1 great spottef woodpecker, flock of 5 & 1 pr long tailed tit, 1pr redpoll, 1 siskin & 15+ goldfinch.

At least 1 little grebe (possibly 2) was back at Troy Quarry. A female brambling was in Troy Wood & at least 192 wood pigeon were roosting in Todd Hall Plantation at 17:45.
