Of interest to anybody who doesn't know - the footpath along the river between Townsendfold and Ewood Bridge is closed due to severe erosion of the banking. K.L. was turned back yesterday by the countryside rangers.
Swallow and Willow Warbler both quite early records. I read about the discoloured Irwell on the BBC NW News site. Was there any sign of adverse effects on invertebrates / small fish?
