E.B.S.W. and surrounding area 04/04/08

Clod Lane   1 chiffchaff

E.B.S.W.     An osprey moved north west at 16:10 hrs.  It was mobbed briefly by a pr of sparrowhawks & a crow.  Also seen 1 pheasant 4 black headed gull, 1pr stock dove, 2 chiffchaff, 1 meadow pipit, 12 pied wagtail, c20 sand martin, c10 swallow, 2 willow warbler, goldcrest singing, 60 fieldfare over, 60 jackdaw, 40 carrion crow & 1pr long tailed tit.

Irwell Vale    1 kingfisher, 1 grey wagtail, 2 great spotted woodpecker, 2 nuthatch, 1pr goldcrest, 2 chiffchaff, 2pr long tailed tit & 1 jay.

Alderbottom        1 sparrowhawk, 1 dipper & 2 chiffchaff.

Ewood Bridge    1pr Goosander & 1 dipper.
