Warth    4 large juv herons seen streching their wings and clambering around the branches around their nest will probably fledge this week.  9 other nests are also in use, but these are quite a way behind the aforementioned nest in development.  Only other birds of note at Warth were 1 sparrowhawk, 1pr stock dove & 1 dipper.

Whittaker Pasture    4 lapwing, 1 stock dove over, 8 sky lark, 3m & 1f wheatear & 4 meadow pipits.

Heights Quarry    4 lapwing, 20 sky lark, 1pr wheatear, , 6 meadow pipit & 1 sparrowhawk seen being mobbed by 2 crows over Cragg Quarry.

Scout Moor Res      1pr goosander, 2 wheatear (1 singing) & 1m stonechat.

Plunge    1m kestrel, 1 little owl, 3 curlew, 1pr stonechat & 2m reed bunting.

circa 30 brambling were at our feeders at Gaghills this morning.
