G.C.Grebe, pair on Holden Wood catching small fish,
Canada Goose, 23 on fields near Holden Wood + 1 on Haslingden Moor,
Kestrel, 2 hunting,
Curlew, 1,
Lapwing, c12 in small groups,
Common Sandpiper, 1 on Calf Hey,
B.H.Gull, c12,
L.B.B.Gull, c20 generally south,
Stock Dove, 1,
Wood Pigeon, c12,
Swifts, c20,
G.S.Woodpecker, 1,
Skylark, c6 quiet probably due to the strong wind,
Swallow, c20,
Meadow Pipit , c30,
Pied Wagtail, 3,
Stonechat, 2 males & a pair,
Mistle Thrush, 3,
Willow Warbler, c20, seem to be good numbers!
Blackcap, 2,
Chiffchaff, singing from conifers at Calf Hey!
Blue, Great & Coal Tit, quite quiet,
Jay, 2,
Raven, pair over Haslingden Moor,
Gold, Green and Chaffinch in good numbers,
Redpoll, 1 male,
Crossbill, female sat on top spike of a conifer for a good 10 minutes!,
Reed Bunting, c5 singing males.

Hi Dave

I walked round Grane from Hutch Bank to Holden Wood today and managed to miss quite a bit of what you saw but I can add a tawny owl being mobbed by 2 magpies at Troy Wood at about 12:30 to your list.  A cormorant was flying between Ogden and Holden Wood. Also had 4 wheatears between Hutch Bank and Jamestone Quarry and 3 linnets in Deep Clough.
