28 canada geese incl 5 fluffy cute young from 1 pair.

4 mallards - no ducklings seen yet

3 moorhen - 1 seen 2 heard

14 lapwings.  6 min.mobbing some chavs and a dog which were walking there and in the field next to grane road.  they are probably breeding.   8 more on the opposite side of holden wood res not sure if they were breeding

2 grey herons

a high pitched call which is either a sandpiper or oystercatcher but not seen.  #

plenty of stonechats, reed buntings,meadow pipits, swifts, swallows, house martins, carrion crows, magpies, blackbirds, 

plenty of L B B Gulls and B H Gulls - does anyone know why there is an upsurge in LBBG's inland - I see so many. 

over last few days stopped on layby neare cllough head and noticed some curlew,  kestrel

there were loads of dark fish coming up to the surface - seemed that a large shoal were sunbathing just under.

Am i the only one who took advtange of this lovely day?

should have added a pheasant calling but not seen to the list.
