Some photos of recent moth night at The Camms - Mon June 30th 2008

We did manage to get a few photos for identification (links posted below), and we released absolutely loads of moths at the end of the night (0130hrs) which unfortunately what we did not bother to identify.  The reason we did not bother was for one we ran out of time,  and also in the earlier part of the evening we had been constantly being bit by midges and also possibly mosquitos (certainly present with their high pitched drone....)

So the venue was great pulling loads of moths, but I think we should have started far later and probably moved back from the water (close proximity) some 100 yards or so... otherwise great.

At present we have identified: Ghost Moth, Beautiful Golden Y, Clouded Border,
The Peppered Moth, Brimstone Moth, Snout, Sword-grass, Dark Arches, Silver Ground Carpet, another one of the Snout family, another one of the wave family, .
