Tuesday nights mothing was without doubt the best yet in regard to quantity, we seem to get lots of moths and they just kept coming from putting the lamp on until close at 0130hrs. I have listed below the species we had and did manage to identify perhaps 75% but very grateful to Steve Palmer for getting the others.

Plain Golden Y, Dusky Brocade Scoparia ambigualis (most were the dark grey form) Marbled Minor type - could be ark form of Marbled, Rufous or Tawny Marbled Heart and Dart Small Square-spot Silver-ground Carpet, Burnished Brass, Dark Spectacle Crambus lathoniellus

ps - forgot to mention earlier, whilst we were mothing we had two parties of Oystercatcher calling and going overhead. They would more than probably be heading to the West at this time of the year.
