Just returned from a walk round clough bottom and clowbridge, and found a green sandpiper on the small pond at clowbridge, feeding around the stream inlet, concidering the current discussions on boundries was this bird in rossendale ?.
Hi Brian, It could have had a leg in both Rossendale and Burnley as the boundary looks to run right along the feeder stream to the back pond (assuming it wasn't on the weed covered pond further round to the east of the res?). East of the feeder stream is Rossendale and west of the feeder stream being in Burnley! A good find! Regards, David.
Early A.M. Still there this morning feeding at the top end of the back pond by the inlet stream. Also 4 Redpoll flitting about and 4 Sand Martins heading south! Regards, David Nuttall
