Waxwings at Ewood Bridge 0301/2009

38 waxwings at Ewood Bridge today.  Birds were at SD795215 ( this is on the road from the Woolpack pub to Edenfield, birds were in the field before the first row of houses on the right hand side of the road as you travel down from Haslingden) before flying off in the direction of Rawtenstall at 15:40.  Enough berries remain to suggest they may return.

cheers Kevin

Ina texted me to ask me to say that she'd seen 22 Waxwings at the same location this morning at 9.00am on her way out.

1 lapwing flew over sliproad which leaves haslingden to bury as i was heading out about 12noon. did nt notice any others. it appeared to be heading from EBSW towards Rawtenstall.
