11:00 - 14:00hrs approx.
Very large gull movement up the Limy valley peaking at 13:00 hrs approx.  with 600+ birds on the move to the north. Most were Herring gulls with low numbers of Lesser Back Backs, Black Heads and Commons.

Bird song noticable today with several Chaffinch singing between Reedsholme and Goodshawfold. Many Dunnock and Robins in song but no Wrens heard. Goldfinch in song at Crawshawbooth.
Just one Song Thrush in song - Crawshawbooth. Thrush species notable by their abscence apart from odd Blackbirds and and a pr. of M.Thrush

Dippers at Goodshawfold, Reedsholme and Leabrook.
c100 Starling at Reedsholme.
c10 Greenfinch at Goodshawfold.
2 Reed Bunting with Chaffinchs and tits at Folly Clough and 2 more were in a hedge near Shortclough res.
1 G.S.Woodpecker at Crawshawboth +c8 Long Tailed Tits.
