cold weather casualties

Feeding station records at three sites after the cold spell show that the biggest casualties were Coal Tits, there numbers are 75% down. Blackbird numbers are well up,still no green/goldfinch.List below is from three sites over this weekend.

Great Tit 10+
Blue Tit 12+
Long Tailed Tit 14+
Coal Tit 2
Bullfinch 9
Chaffinch 7
Robin 6+
Dunnock 5
Nuthatch 5 [all individualls ,seen at same time]
Treecreeper 1 [near feeders]
Blackbird 10+
Mistle Thrush 3
G S Woodpecker 6 [3 pairs]
Jay 4+
Wren 2 [still two in the garden.None seen in the woods.]
Woodpigeon,Jackdaw,Magpie all visit regulary,a Pheasant[male]pops in sometimes.
