Tricketts Memorial Park 1 tawny owl roosting (2 present in same tree yesterday), 2prs of great spotted woodpecker in terretorial dispute, 1 song thrush, 5 singing dunnock, 10 chaffinch & 1m bullfinch.
Stubbylee Moss 2pr Canada geese, 20 lapwing, curlew heard calling, 10 snipe, 1 jack snipe (flushed from less than 6 inches from my foot), 20 skylark & 2 meadow pipit
Spring Mill Res 2 great crested grebe, 1 grey heron, 1pr Canada geese on Prickshaw Lodge, 6 mallard, 3m & 4f goosander, 2m & 2f goldeneye, 1 oystercatcher, 4 curlew, 22 black headed gull, 2 common gull, 1 grey wagtail, 18 wood pigeon, 1f stonechat (the only one either myself or John has seen this year), 2 raven over & possibly a 3rd bird seen later & 14 magpie.
Cowm Res 20 Canada geese, 40 mallard, 3m & 2f tufted, 70 blackheaded gull, 2 common gull & 1 reed bunting. Very few small birds aroumd the res.
