06:30 - 09:15 G.C.Grebe, 1, Cormorant, 1 feeding on Ogden, Grey Heron, 2 flew west up the valley, Canada Goose, 3 pairs on pasture and 7 in Troy, Mallard, 6, Goldeneye, pair on Calf Hey, Goosander, a pair flew in to join two males on Calf Hey, Sparrowhawk, female seen 3 times, Kestrel, 1, Red Grouse, pair & single male flushed, Curlew, several heard but the only one seen flew over calling high heading north west, Oystercatcher, pair on pasture, Lapwing, 25 at side of Holden Wood + pair on territory displaying, Golden Plover, a flock of 30 on the tops, L.B.B.Gull, 4 over heading west, B.H.Gull, c20 on Holden Wood, Wood Pigeon, c20 in small flocks or singles, Collared Dove, 1, Green Woodpcker, 1 yaffling strongly, Skylark, c25 on the tops, many in song, Meadow Pipit, c30, many in song, Pied Wagtail, c5, Fieldfare, 10, Song Thrush, 4 in good song, Blackbird, c12, many in song, Blue, Great & Coal Tit in good numbers, Jay, 1 near Holden Wood, Gold, Green & Chaffinch in good numbers and singing well, Bullfinch, 1 at Calf Hey, Siskin, 2x2 heading west and flock of 5 at Calf Hey, with male singing, Reed Bunting, 2 at Holden Wood.
