G.C.Grebe, 1 on Holden Wood & 1 on Ogden,
Canada Goose, c12 pairs & a flock of 14,
Mallard, c8,
Goosander, 1 redhead on a very low Calf Hey,
Kestrel, 2,
Sparrowhawk, 1 flew rapidly into conifers,
Red Grouse, 1 flushed & 1 calling,
Oystercatcher, pair feeding on pasture,
Golden Plover, flock of at least 8 birds on the tops but didn't flush them so possibly more!
Lapwing, c 6 pairs,
Curlew, 2,
L.B.B.Gull, 1 over south,
B.H.Gull, 2,
Stock Dove, 1 on pasture,
Wood Pigeon, many pairs & flock of 6,
Little Owl, 1 on drystone wall,
G.S.Woodpecker, pair near Troy Quarry,
Skylark, c12, mainly in song,
Swallow, 3,
Meadow Pipit, c20,
Pied Wagtail, c8,
Mistle Thrush, c4 singing birds & 2 pairs,
Song Thrush, 3 singing birds,
Blackbird, c6 singing birds,
Willow Warbler, c8 singing birds around Heap Clough & Holden Wood,
L.T.Tit, pair,
Blue & Great Tit in good numbers,
Jay, 2,
Chaffinch c 20,
Greenfinch & Goldfinch, groups of c4 of each.
