Birds singing:-
2 Willow warb
1 Song Thrush
1 Dunnock
1 Blackcap
1 Blackbird

Plus Wren, Robin, Coaltit, Bl-tit, Grt-tit
1 Grey Heron
1 m Mallard
1 Stockdove
& Moorhen heard

Garden Blackbirds fledged while I was away, not sure how many survived the local feline population which seems to be growing.

Yes, it is a bit of a shock to the system, isn't it? We just got back from a week in Mallorca. A bit disappointing bird-wise but weather was nice and sunny!

Bad luck Jim, I'm sure you had a good time anyway.
I was in Mallorca this time last year and saw lots. Eleonora's and Red-footed Falcons etc, but did dip-out on Scops Owl.
Just shows you, the birds don't read the timetables or the guide books.no
