Good start but wet finish!
36 species today which is the best I've had from a Tetrad visit to date. Nothing unusual today but of interest were:
Swift, good number over Stacksteads rec with up to 12,
Skylark, 4 singing birds,
Grey Wagtail, 3 territories,
Dipper, 1 juv
Willow Warbler, good numbers with 9 in total,
Blackcap, good numbers on old railway line with 5 singing birds,
G.S.Woodpecker, 1 at greens lodges,
Starling, c20 with 3 nests with chicks,
Jay, 1,
Rook, 22 nests at Rook Hill,
Bullfinch, 1,
Linnet, 1.
