i visited holden wood at 3pm

3 canada geese
3 mallard ducks
15 min lapwing in the pasture
2 grey heron
1 cormorant flying over and around but not landing
5 reed buntings
3 meadow pipits
1 swift
3 swallow
1 large gull flying over - herring or lbb
10 min not very black-headed gulls - 1 chasing a carrion crow aggressively for something in its beak, the crow flew in the trees, was set up on by another crow and then dropped it in the water to be claimed by that bh gull
1 mistle thrush
1 wren
2 woodpigeons
2 magpies
6 min carrion crows
water level has dropped a lot - lots of mud - if it stays like this could there be a chance that it could attract any passing waders? might be worth checking the mud for any animal footprints
