I called round to see Eric today. He was quite touched by the birthday card from the club and he asked me to pass on his thanks to everyone for their good wishes.
He and Margaret don't get out much now and would welcome a visit if you happen to be passing.
I dont know who Eric and Margaret are, but at that age they deserve a visit, give me some details and i will call round, i assume they might like some local bird life pictures.
Sorry, I should have explained for recent members that Eric was one of the founders of ROC and was Chairman for many years and regularly came on the field trips. He has Life membership of the club.
My suggestion to visit Eric was mainly aimed at those who know him and I think it might be best not to pop in if you aren't known to him already.
