Grey Heron, 2 singles on the Irwell,
Mallard, c20 on Irwell,
Goosander, group of 5 on the Irwell, + single redheadon river + redhead flying up the valley,
Sparrowhawk, female over,
Snipe, 3 on filter beds ( very unusual as Dog Nobbler's observations!),
Lapwing, 1 on filter beds,
B.H.Gull, c40 on beds + c100 flying north,
Common Gull, c 20 flying north,
Herring Gull, c30 flying north,
Collared Dove, c6,
Wood Pigeon, c8,
G.S.Woodpecker, 2 calling birds,
Dipper, 1,
Meadow Pipit, 3 on filter beds,
Grey Wagtail, 1 on beds,
Pied Wagtail, c10 on beds,
Fieldfare, flock of 11 south,
Mistle Thrush, 1 in hawthorn,
Blackbird, c40 especially arouind feeders,
L.T.Tit, c5 flocks in good numbers,
Coal Tit, c6,
Great Tit, c8,
Blue Tit, c12,
Wren, Robin & Dunnock, around in decent numbers especially at feeders with the latter two,
Nuthatch, 1 calling and 1 at a feeder,
Jackdaw, c20 mainly of chimney pots,
Jay, 1 on snow covered bough,

House Sparrow, c6,
Goldfinch, c6,
Bullfinch, 3 at a feeder and single female.
